Barrell Bourbon Batch 017 is a tribute to classic bourbon. It is a blend of straight bourbons distilled in Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The barrels selected were aged 10 year 4 months, 14 years, and 15 years. Bottled at a cask strength 112.5 proof.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 017 Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of cherry pie, purple plums, funnel cakes.

Palate: Very rich, almost buttery, but balanced by an unexpectedly tropical, juicy side.

Finish: Finish is long and smooth.

Distillery Information

Founded in 2014, Barrell Craft Spirits scoops up extra casks of premium Bourbon and Rye and bottles em up at full strength. Each batch is completely different. Sometimes the coolest casks on the market are Tennessee-style Whiskeys, sometimes theyre Kentucky Bourbon. The good stuff could be straight, or it could be a finished wood. The point is that they find the best odd lots and left-overs that would more likely be tossed into a generic blend and sell it to us in all of their glory.
