The second, golden, limited-edition release of Hennessy XO Cognac, with a bottle created by Marc Newson, one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. He has taken Hennessy XO, a complex assemblage of the house’s finest eaux-de-vie, matured up to 70 years, and has reinterpreted its look. Keeping the bottle’s iconic shape, he has added corrugations that not only reflect the light and magnify it, but also focus the eye on the colour of the Cognac. A beautiful presentation of an excellent spirit.

Nose: A rich, fruity palate with prunes, Corinth raisins and sticky toffee pudding.

Palate: Dark chocolate and over-ripe plums. A little sultana character, cocoa butter and spice.

Finish: Spicy, vanilla-led finish with all kinds of dark fruits.

Distillery Information

The dynastic Hennessy family has been dominating the Cognac industry for two and a half centuries. In 1765, Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in Louis XVs army, set out to create the worlds finest cognac. The refined and highly popularized elixir became a thriving export business, shipping as far as Ireland, Britain, and all throughout Europe.
