Size: 1.75L
Proof: 92 (46% ABV)
Origin: Scotland
Distillery: Bruichladdich Distillery
Created at the Bruichladdich distillery, this superb Islay gin was distilled in the ‘ugly betty’ still described as “an oversized upside-down dustbin made of copper” by Tom Morton. Perhaps the best looking packaging we’ve ever seen for a gin – it’s not all style and no substance either. This is a world-class gin, at a proper abv.
Nose: Exploding with botanicals! Citrus, menthol, flowers, apple mint, spring woodlands, juniper, coriander..it goes on and on.
Palate: Chill at the entry, warm at the back palate. Citrus freshness, and a starburst of other flavors.
Finish: Long, spicy.
Bruichladdich Distillery is a distillery on the Rhinns of the isle of Islay in Scotland. The distillery produces mainly single malt Scotch whisky, but has also offered artisanal gin. It is owned by Rmy Cointreau and is one of eight working distilleries on the island.
