A 7-year-old Arran drawn from a single ex-bourbon barrel and bottled at cask-strength for Indie Brands. This bright young whisky has been heavily peated to 50ppm, thrusting a flash of thick, ashy smoke through the spirit’s otherwise fresh, ripe, orchard-fruit profile.

Nose: Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.

Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.

Finish: A very long finish.

Arran distillery is a whisky distillery in Lochranza, Scotland, Isle of Arran. In 1994 Arran Distillers was founded by Harold Currie, former director of Chivas and a D-Day veteran, with the intention of building a distillery on Arran.
