Distilled in their unique Faraday still in the mountains of South Wales, this whisky is then aged in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-Oloroso sherry casks to bring out its rich fruity flavour. Bottled at 46% abv and Non Chill Filtered to give the best texture and mouthfeel. Serve neat or with a small drop of water in a tasting, tulip or Glencairn glass. Nose: Dark fruit and rich toffee with green apples and hazelnuts.

Palate: Rich sweetness gives way to refreshing dryness.

Finish: Sweet notes of toffee and sultana.

Distillery Information

The company was launched in 2000 as the Welsh Whisky Company. Whisky had been distilled in Wales for hundreds of years, but stopped in 1894. Penderyn became the first whisky to be manufactured in Wales for over a century when sales started in 2004. It remains the only whisky currently produced in Wales.
