Distillery Information

Established in 1761, G&J Distillers has more than 250 years experience in Gin production. It all started with a man named Thomas Dakin, who started producing his own Gin at the age of just 25. His family was close friends with the Greenall family, to whom the distillery was leased in 1860. Brothers Gilbert and John Greenall, who also owned a nearby brewery, eventually bought the distillery outright, renaming Dakins Warrington Gin as Greenalls Gin, but keeping Dakins original recipe.
