Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye Whiskey is made with a 100% Canadian prairie rye mashed in Rocky Mountain water. Its this combination that has made the distillery one of the biggest producers of rye in the world. In the fall of 2019, the distillery surprised rye fans by releasing a cask strength expression simply pulling uncut rye from their charred barrels.

Alberta Distillers Ltd. has since grown into one of Canadas premiere rye producers despite the companys growth, however, the distillerys local roots are still evident today. Most of the rye grains used by Alberta Distillers is sourced from farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, with the farmers still delivering the grains personally by truck.
