Additionally, the distillery won five medals for their whiskies. On top of its category win, 1 Texas Single Malt earned Double Gold. Texas Blue Corn Bourbon and the new Texas Rye Cask Strength both took Gold Medals. True Blue 100 received a Silver Medal, and Balcones Texas Rye 100 brought a Bronze Medal.

Nose: Lightly dusty and smoky, trace amounts of the sourness remain.

Palate: A few drops of water draws out the sweet and dry, and dilutes the sour.

Finish: Finish is long and smooth.

Distillery Information

A quarter mile from downtown Waco, Texas, in a neighborhood of long abandoned storefronts, is a small, rusted-metal shed hidden beneath the 17th Street Bridge.
