Banhez Tepeztate is made using 100% agave Tepeztate which can take up to 25 years to mature. It is produced by Apolonio Patricio Lopez in San Agustn Amatengo, Ejutla, Oaxaca. It takes 5-6 days to naturally ferment before being distilled in copper pots. This agave Tepeztate mezcal has a green pepper vegetal nose with notes of green apple fruitiness and citrus zest.
