A wonderful combination of Oloroso and Bourbon barrels were used to mature this peated cask strength classic. On the nose, buckets of peat swirl with an underbelly of dark stewed plum and pear with a splash of ginger and vanilla lanolin. On the palate, peat is in charge up front with chocolate covered raisin and pear compote underneath. The finish is complex and drawn out with peat fading into dark stewed fruits and bitter sweet chocolate.
