Just like the vodka, the spirit is distilled from whey, and the botanicals are sourced organically wherever possible. Among the botanicals is the New Zealand Horopito, and ancient flowering plant more commonly known as peppertree, seeing as the leaves give a chilli-like heat and flavour. Sustainability is key to the brand inspired by the endangered black robin, with sales from each bottle donated towards preserving the species.
