Nose: Through a burst of aromatic spice comes grassy sugar cane, dried apricot, and pineapple, with hints of tobacco and leather underneath.

Palate: More tropical fruit and sugarcane juice notes are joined by orange peel, clove, and gentle florals.

Finish: Full-bodied and long.

Distillery Information

One of Italys leading grappa producers, Capovilla has been doing its thing since 1986 from the beautiful old cellars of Villa Dolfin Bold in Rosa’, near Bassano del Grappa, close to Vicenza. Owner Vittorio Capovilla makes his grappa on small stills designed by a German artisan, with very low levels of sulphur dioxide, using only very ripe fruit grown in high hillside vineyards. All of Capovillas products are hand-bottled and hand labelled.
