A blend of 45% Baco, 33% Colombard, 15% Folle Blanche, 7% Ugni-Blanc armagnacs aged 12 to 15 years in 420 litre Pedonculate oak medium char casks (half new casks and half seasoned for 7 years or more). Reduced to bottling strength by aeration and hydration and rested for at least 2 years prior to bottling.
Nose: Floral dried fruit and spice violets, white flowers, vanilla, fruit cake and white pepper.
Palate: Blackened fruitcake, black pepper and nutmeg spice, with cacao, vanilla and faint lavender floral notes.
Finish: Burnt fruitcake, dark chocolate, vanilla and peppery spice.
The oldest family owned estate producing Armagnac, has been distilling hand-crafted Armagnac since 1711 from vines planted on exceptional soil of light, tawny, marine sand with clay and shell sediments. The Lacquy estate continues its tradition of excellence by overseeing every step of production.
