From the wonderful Chteau de Lacquy comes a VSOP Bas Armagnac, which has seen seven years of ageing. The brandy is produced from a blend of 35% Baco, 35% Colombard, 15% Folle Blanche and 15% Ugni Blanc, making for a fresh spirit full of orchard fruit deliciousness.
Nose: The nose is elegant with aromas of white fruits like pear compote with some spices.
Palate: The palate is fresh, with a nice balance and freshness. The roundness of the eau-de-vie is long on the palate.
Finish: The finish on fruit is incredibly long.
The oldest family owned estate producing Armagnac, has been distilling hand-crafted Armagnac since 1711 from vines planted on exceptional soil of light, tawny, marine sand with clay and shell sediments. The Lacquy estate continues its tradition of excellence by overseeing every step of production.
