The label of this 18 year old expression gives hints towards Deanston’s founding in the 1960s. It’s not a bad view of the distillery those hippies have from the roof of their campervan… Batch 5 is a release of 148 bottles. That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Nose: Full-bodied aroma.

Palate: Salted caramel, marmalade and a little gingerbread initially, then oily nuttiness, pink grapefruit bitterness and a soft, floral vanilla undertone develop.

Finish: Rich and smooth.
