The story of Cognac Deau begins in 1685, during the reign of king Louis XIV, when Louis Deau, settles down as wine grower in Charente and discover the mythical alchemy of stills. Since several generations the Daughter in-law Legaret family possesses and runs a vineyard at the heart of the region of Cognac. Today, Vronique Bru Legaret and her son Roland Legaret take over the fate of the brand Cognac Deau. Cognac Deau is located to Sireuil (Charente, France) and more exactly “Aux Moisans” at the heart of the region of Cognac. It is there that in the middle of vineyards, overhanging the Charente, is their distillery and its 12 copper stills, adjoining the wine storehouses where age in more than 2000 barrels brandies of their Collection.
