George T Stagg Spring 2005 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was the third of three 2005 releases. It entered the barrels in the spring of 1988 and after 15 years and 4 months on the 2nd, 4th and 8th floors of Warehouses I, 95 hand selected barrels were bottled at 70.6% / 141.2 proof. At the time of bottling 58.59% of the original Whiskey was lost to evaporation.

Nose: Delightful aroma.

Palate: Toffee, molasses, roasted nuts, dried vanilla and hint of dusty corn.

Finish: A slightly longer and more developed finish.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest continually operating distillery in the United States and includes the rich legacies of master distillers such as E.H. Taylor, Jr, George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp and Elmer T. Lee. Today, the distillery is still family-owned, operating on the same 130 acres of land adjacent the Kentucky River as it has for over 200 years.
