Kirin is, along with Asahi, the major maker of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in Japan. Although not a whisky specialist as such, it does nonetheless participate in the whisky market. In fact, Kirin has a distillery at the foot of Mt. Fuji Japans sacred mountain. The name Fuji Sankoru translates as at the foot of Mt. Fuji, and this 27 year old is part of the cream of the crop. It is presented in a regular bottle with classy box.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.

Finish: Clean,crisp and smooth.
