The first release from Grand Mezcal, La Escondida is a blanco mezcal made exclusively with espadn agave from Oaxaca. The agave is aged for seven to ten years, and then its distilled twice to create a clean but flavoursome spirit. Sip this terrific tipple neat with a good slice of fresh orange, or enjoy it in a cocktail – the producers say it goes particularly well in an agave-based twist on a Negroni, which we’re keen to try…
