La Herencia de Sanchez Ponche de Frutas is made with agave Espadin by maestro mezcalero Romulo Sanchez Parada. This mezcal is made using a special blend of seasonally available herbs and spices. It has hints of prunes, guava, and cinnamon.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Distillery Information

Romulo Sanchez Parada has been carrying on his family’s traditional mezcal production in Candelaria Yegole, Oaxaca for years, and La Herencia de Snchez is one of the brands that he uses to bottle and release the mezcal made at his palenque. The brand has been sold in Mexico for years, and people outside of Mexico may be more familiar with his other brand, Rey Campero, which is also made exclusively by him and his family.
