Today, Jrome Royer a fifth-generation master distiller and the great-great-great grandson of Louis Royer continues to shepherd his family legacy forward. “My blood is cognac,” says Royer. This VSOP has a signature mature quality found in older cognacs. Louis Royer cognacs have a signature smoothness an exquisite balance of fruity notes and woody notes create an expressive cognac. A truly complex blend of eaux-de-vie, you can expect hearty, rich, aromatic notes.

Distillery Information

Louis Royer is situated in the town of Jarnac, overlooking the Charente River. One of the oldest Cognac companies in the World, known for their love for bees, hence their bee emblem. Louis Royer was more than just a skilled cellar master, and it didnt take him long to realize he would be much better off running his own business, rather than working for other Cognac houses. He set up his first Cognac still in 1853 at the ripe old age of 25. Before that, he kept bees to produce his own honeya hobby that he maintained for his entire life. The logo of the Louis Royer Cognac remained a gold and blue honey bee to this day.
