The Lucky Cat “Hana” is a blended whisky that is finished in Oloroso sherry casks and has pleasant aromas of brown sugar and maple syrup, while the palate has a soft sweetness that persists through the finish. It’s named after one of 2 cat sisters, Hana and Chocolate, this one being the gentler of the two.

Nose: Opens with brown sugar, maple syrup, and dark fruit notes.

Palate: More dark fruit, with vanilla, and orange zest flavors throughout.

Finish: Elegant, with a gentle sweetness.

Distillery Information

Sandwiched between Japans soaring Southern Alps and the towering Central Alps, at just over 2,600 feet Mars Shinshu is Japans highest whisky distillery. The Hombo family have been distilling shochu for more than a century and added whisky to their repertoire in 1949.
