Kinsey Cabernet Cask. This special-edition whiskey, limited to a single 53 gallon barrel, takes Kinsey’s 10-year whiskey (made from 100% corn and aged in oak) and finishes it in Cabernet wine casks from Napa Valley.

Nose: Rich and bold. Layers of sweet grain, real maraschino cherry and vanilla.

Palate: Warm, luscious and smooth. Slow-cooked stone fruit, black currant and berry flavors and a little burst of peppery spice.

Finish: Savory foundation and a drier finish.

Distillery Information

New Liberty Distillery is located in a vibrant north Philadelphia neighborhood, just minutes from Center City. Their building once served as a stable, and much of its architecture, including the horse stalls, have been preserved. The building now provides a home to our custom-made still, as well as the rick house where we barrel age our whiskey. In addition to the working distillery, they also feature a beautiful bar and tasting room where you can sample their whiskey and enjoy craft cocktails created by their in-house mixologist Sam. Their Heritage Collection and New Liberty whiskeys, spirits-related gifts, and other locally sourced products can be purchased in their retail space.
