Project #173 Banana Rum is the answer! With a core of good quality rum and oodles of authentic banana notes for company, this expression will be immensely helpful when it comes to cocktails. Plus, you don’t have to deal with banana peels, so no chance of any slapstick pratfalls.

Project #173 Banana Rum | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Banana, obvs, but clean, ripe banana rather than yucky foam banana. The high, ripe esters (flavour molecules) from the rum blend seamlessly with the banana acting as a supercharger to the base flavour rather than an unwelcome intrusion. A lick of spice on the tail end provides intrigue.

Palate: Sweet, but not cloying banana flavour is intense but doesn’t overstep the mark it’s still clear that there is good liquid in the mix. Dark caramelised notes lead into the finish.

Finish: Long, with the resurgence of the caramelised goodness, and the high esters continue to play for a decent length of time.
