Rossville Union Master Crafted | Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is bold and spicy, offering a distinct hint of fresh cut oak, baking spice and a traditional rye zing.

Palate: The mouthfeel is hot, and the flavor is buttery sweet candied fruit on my palate with a typical rye oak spice on the back of my palate.

Finish: The finish is of medium length with hints of burnt powdered sugar cinnamon spice and spearmint that leads to a dry spiciness and noticeable tannin overtones.

MGP of Indiana (Midwest Grain Products of Indiana) is a distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, producing spirits for private label sale. These are sold under about 50 different brand names by various bottling companies, with a recent addition of their own products, Till Vodka, George Remus Bourbon, and Rossville Union Straight Rye Whiskey. The facility’s largest customer is the London-based multinational beverage giant Diageo.
