Originally a Canadian whisky brand until it was taken over by Diageo. It is now blended and bottled by the Seven Crown Distilling Company in Norwalk, CT. It is comprised of 25% straight whiskey and 75% neutral grain. Seagram’s 7 Crown is a long-running brand of blended American whiskey seen on back-bars across the lands. A reliable whiskey for enjoying with mixers, particularly the ever-popular 7up – a combination of which creates a cocktails called the ‘7 and 7′. Or ’14’, if you’re the sort of person that prefers simplified fractions and the like.

Seagram’s 7 Crown American Blended Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Almond, caramel and a hint of pink wafer biscuits.

Palate: Brown sugar, corn, white pepper and light oak.

Finish: A few touches of menthol remain.
