That Boutique-y Rum Company has gone and bottled up its first batch of wonderful spirit from Fernandes Distillers over in Trinidad and Tobago! The multi-column still molasses rum was aged for just shy of two decades, bottled up by the Boutique-y folks at 19 years old, weighing in at 57.4% ABV. Now, what’s going on with this label then? Looks like our modern day rum scientist has gone and got himself a time portal to peep into Mr Fernandes’ past. We reckon this may have something to do with the fire of 1932 that destroyed the Trinidad & Tobago Government Rum Bond, when Mr Fernandes managed to acquire charred casks of rum saved from the fire, which went on to become some outrageously delicious vintages.
