Tokinoka Black is a Japanese whisky that was created by Akito Ueda, master blender at the White Oak distillery. It was made with a blend of malt whisky (50%) and grain whisky (50%) before being in matured three different types of casks – ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and new oak barrels. This edition is bottled at 50% ABV, while the standard expression is bottled at 40% ABV.
Nose: Citrus fruits, dried apricots and floral honey.
Palate: Creamy vanilla, exotic fruit and toasted oak lead, with prickles of sweet spice.
Finish: An elegant, medium length finish.
White Oak distillery is a Japanese whisky distillery. In operation since 1984, it is located in Akashi, a city in Hy?go Prefecture, Japan. The distillery released its first single malt in late 2007, under the “Akashi” label.
