Released in the fall of 2015, the extremely limited Barrel Strength Bourbon was a run of only 111 bottles from two leaking honey barrels filled in the distillerys first year. Only 96 of those bottles actually made it to retail, with slightly more than half bottled at 120 proof (the rest at 116 proof).

The latest single barrel, barrel strength offering from Wyoming Whiskey, offers a peak into the deepest recesses of their warehouse, where the finest casks are kept. The cask was selected by distiller Sam Mead, with the support of blender and consultant Nancy Fraley. Bottled at 116 proof.

Wyoming Whiskey Barrel Strength Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes.

Nose: A deep mahogany color beckons from the glass, with big baking spices leading on the nose.

Palate: he palate starts with rich sweetness, think hot caramel on a chocolate dessert, with sugar-dusted berries, cedar, cinnamon, red wine, and candy cane.

Finish: The finish is long and sweet, with juicy fruits and mint chocolate chip ice cream balanced by peppery oak.
